Hey, so, this will let everyone hear me, right? Guess I should say hi - I'm Aladdin. I don't really know much about being a Guard (if the Guards back in Agrabah knew about this I think they'd laugh), but I'll see what I can do to help.

Technology - you mean all these strange gadgets, right? They are gonna take some getting used to.

Can't be sure what I'm here for. We don't exactly get an explain upon arriving.

Yes, we call those strange gadgets tech or technology. Do you need someone to teach you about them? I was a teacher back home so I could do that, if you needed.

Really? That doesn't sound that good. How can you be rehabilitated if you don't know what you're being rehabilitated for?

Sure, why not. Can inmates teach wardens? I'd have thought there'd be rules against that. What's your name?

Ask the Admiral. He's the one who hadn't given me a warden yet.

We all sort of interact, but we have different rules. I can't see why I couldn't teach you the basics. I'm Mr. White, it's a pleasure.

So you only really start once you get a warden?

I suppose so. You'll get a inmate of course, someone you have to teach to be good I guess.

You did, but that's fine. So, you got the choice to come here? Why did you decide to?

Yeah. I guess...I wanted to give someone else a chance too. It used to be that no one ever thought I'd ever be worth anything. But I got a chance to not just be another street rat for the rest of my life. So I'd like to help someone else get a better life.

[And he's also, maybe, trying to avoiding the fact that he's just a little freaked over the fact that getting engaged to the Princess means he'll be Sultan one day. But Aladdin's trying not to think about that right now..]

[He raised a brow. Could he be for real?

That was so noble he wanted to be sick. He wanted to ruin his idea of how good the world was and how good people were, but he was on his best behavior. He gave a short nod.]

Not everyone gets so lucky. I thought I had another chance, when I got better from my sickness, but it came back. I've heard if we do what we have to here, we get to go back home and be alive again.

[Considering Aladdin's other reason for coming here, it wasn't so completely noble. But since Aladdin hardly wanted to admit that to himself, he wasn't going to admit it to someone else]

No, they don't. And I know there's a lot of people who never get any luck at all. And it's hard to be good if you're not given the chance.

[He looks concerned about that sickness] You're ill?

[He shrugged.]

Cancer, lung cancer. Not sure if you know what that is, but it's a death sentence of a illness. Not here, though, I've got a clean bill of health.

[he doesn't know it, but then Aladdin doesn't know much about illnesses so it's no surprise to him] And when you go back, you'll be ill again?

If I graduate with honors, I'll be cured. Like you said though, it's hard to be rehabilitated without knowing what exactly got you here in the first place.
